Paralyzed by Perfection

I just began writing. This isn't the first time I've endeavored to write. I enjoy writing. It's therapeutic, an opportunity to organize my thoughts. This time, as with times past, I'm mostly driven by a desire to give back. My entire life, I've been an information consumer, a black hole where epiphanies go to disappear.

As a developer, I constantly search for solutions to complex technical challenges, workarounds to bugs, and code samples to better understand a concept. And, while I've experienced countless all-nighters to track down an elusive bug, I haven't taken the time to pay it forward by publishing the solution and saving someone else from the same fate.

Well, that's not entirely true--I started writing the solution many times, but never got around to clicking "Publish". My posts were never quite good enough ... as if the developer I save from a caffeine-fueled all-nighter is going to care if my commas are in the right place.

My life is filled with drafts, but it's time for that to change. Enough procrastinating already! Time to publish the first of many imperfect ramblings. I hope you follow along and enjoy the ride!
